Gata Vrangr haven't listened to this enough time to have a favourite track or whatever but even after a few listens this is really good, if you are into disturbing noisy shit this is for you. the bass and drum tones are complementing perfectly the various noises and the vocals really amplify the anxious and tormented atmosphere.

PAINTED THROAT is a new project by bassist Ryan McGuire and drummer Joshua Carro, best known for playing in the extraordinary avantgarde death/doom metal band Ehnahre.

"The Clock Shaken from the Wall" is a crushing collection of distorted bass drones, wailing feedback, distorted saxophone and desperate death grunts, reminiscent of Khanate's most excruciating moments and Ehnahre's heavier sides.
Like most of Ehnahre's output, "The Clock Shaken from the Wall" has lyrics adapted from poetry and this time they are adapted from the works of Larry Eigner, one of the main figures of the Black Mountain School.
