Sonic Terror

tr_🇺🇦 A remix and best-of album of the original noise doom act. The songs used to sound like violent, abrasive walls of drawn out guitar noise, this is rather meditative drone doom instead. The noise is minmal and the songs are way more compact. This rendition of "The Chandrasekhar Limit" is a polite reminder to look away from the supernova and put on your sun cream.
Don't dismiss the originals. Favorite track: The Chandrasekhar Limit.

Hayduke X The album title sums it up. The horror movie genre allows for an excellent metaphor here. This is not a slasher with over the top gore, nor a monster movie with hideous creatures and cheap jump scares. Uncertainty Principle has created the album equivalent to the slow-burning, slow crawling, ominous type of horror movie that creates a truly disturbing atmosphere, and causes real, visceral fear. www.moshpitnation.com/exclusive-track-premiere-uncertainty-principle-stationary-state/ Favorite track: Stationary State.

about

XP032

Introducing "Sonic Terror" by UNCERTAINTY PRINCIPLE, the original project by UK blackened noise artist A. White, known for acts like Vessel of Iniquity and Crown of Ascension.
UNCERTAINTY PRINCIPLE dates back as far as 1995 and it's been most prolific in the early 2000s, releasing ten albums in the span of six years, before being put on hold until 2019. Unlike Vessel of Iniquity's chaotic blasting black metal noise, UNCERTAINTY PRINCIPLE focuses on one of the heaviest doom metal you will ever hear, mixing harsh noise, funeral doom, sludge and drone, like an extreme hybrid between Godflesh and Halo (Australian doom metal band).
Sonic Terror takes tracks spanning UNCERTAINTY PRINCIPLE's whole career, deconstructing and rebuilding them from the ground up, with an updated, improved sound and a more straightforward approach, closer to death-doom and sludge.
Crushing slow riffs collapse under slabs of noise, while filtered manic screams pierce the listeners' ears.
