first xenoglossy release to be published in 2022 is a split album titled "phrqncys", between two noisy experimental entities: batrakos and plasst.

batrakos is a trio consisting of thecodontion/xenoglossy members stilgar and heliogabalus, collaborating with kuranes, owner of glossolalia records and member of occulsed, maestus, gash and lodge of the empty bed. starting as a raw black metal duo, the group gradually abandoned metal elements in favor of noise and drone and it has now become a full fledged drone/ambient project focusing on elements like shortwave radio samples and distorted organs and synths.

plasst is the noise side project of italian experimental artist tommaso busatto, also member of the drone solo act megasole and experimental/post-rock duo qqqøqqq and former owner of underground label casetta.

visually, the split pays homage to the ornamented wallpaper cover artworks used by seminal label celebrate psi phenomenon during the early 2000s, with an inner sleeve featuring an abstract pen and paper artwork by plasst.

physical edition comes as a pro cassette edition, limited to 25 copies.
